Some Simple Stretches for Headaches

My wife gets headaches all the time.  I don’t know how she does it but she functions pretty well.  Personally, I’m a giant baby when it comes to headaches.  If it doesn’t go away within a few minutes, I’ll probably be popping an ibuprofen to help out.  Luckily I get them very rarely.  My wife started seeing a chiropractor in Chandler AZ and it seems to be helping.  Beside lining up per neck bones, he also gave her some stretches to do at home on her own.

The chiropractor told her that most headaches start in the neck so lining up the bones and keeping the muscles loose tends to help.  The other day when I got a headache, instead of taking medication like I usually do I had my wife show my some of the stretches.  They were easier than I thought.  I figured they would be some complicated bunch of movements but really you just move your head in a few directions and use your hand to get a little extra stretch.  I start by tucking my chin to my chest, then my ear toward my shoulder on both side.  I hold for twenty to thirty seconds in each direction and do them all two to three times.  It helped quite a bit.  I’m no expert so I’d recommend visiting www.ApexMedicalAZ.com and finding out more.
